My client is looking for a technical services engineer who has previously worked within the aerospace or avionics industry. Ideally someone who has technical authoring or in service support experience. The role is working onsite 3 days per week.
The Challenge:
- Provide technical support and guidance to a global customer base
- Prepare and review technical documents / reports to a high standard
- Engage with customer engineering staff to develop real-time solutions to issues as they arise
- Contribute towards continuous improvement of processes and procedures
- Develop a broad product knowledge
- Support other departments within the business to resolve technical issues
What the candidate should bring:
- All-round engineering skills, with an emphasis on electrical/electronics
- A flexible approach to working - Able to adapt to situations as part of a dynamic team
- Good communication skills - Able to discuss technical matters with customers effectively
- Practical, hands-on engineering - Capable of repairing and maintaining electronic equipment
- An ability to work with minimum supervision
- Able to read and interpret mechanical and electrical drawings
- Proficient in Microsoft Office (Word, PowerPoint, Excel, Project, Access, Outlook)
- Previous experience in Avionics or Aerospace industry
- Previous experience with Technical Authoring / Aviation Publications
